This blog is about the form and function of the future; about philosophy that can make a difference; and about a new freeform business and entrepreneurship I call Punkrepreneurship. Those are recurring themes. In addition, I post my art, creative writing and some recycled ideas for free use.

The .ws in Mikko.ws stands for website. Someone had already reserved all the other TLDs, funny that, but I thought this domain looked good.

I am Mikko H. Järvenpää (Mikko to some, Henrik to some) and this is my homepage. I write about my areas of interest, which are broad, ranging from applied business ideas to unapplicable utopistic speculation and from the printed word to the filmed gesture.  My education is in business and philosophy from the HSE and LSE and my business interestes lie in scalable, bootstrappable entrepreneurial projects, which are rewarding to all involved. Since there are too many  ideas around anyway and some of mine have proved quite good, I like to give them away. In addition to running my own businesses, either operatively or in a supervisory position, I also try to accomodate my schedule to advise businesses.

My more theoretical interests lie in the future of society, philosophy of evolution, game theory and interactive social structures applied to many different purposes. Evolutionary theories are quite applicable to the practical sphere of business, so that is something new; while morality comes about as a sideproduct of evolution, and therefore is a frequent and entertaining angle to take.
